Erasmus + beginning of the academic year

The 2019/2010 academic year began with a lively international exchange under the Erasmus + program. From mid-September, students from Portugal, Spain, Syria and Turkey from abroad started to come to our university.

In the last week of September, Erasmus + students at KPSW participated in a Welcome Week with a whole group of fourteen. During the first days in Jelenia Góra they took part in lectures, integration classes, followed Polish lessons and went to the cinema together.

In the week of 14-18 October, students from abroad and Poland had the opportunity to participate in classes conducted by three lecturers from KPSW partner universities from Turkey and Portugal.

Professor Birkan Tapan from Istanbul Bilim University introduced the topic of quality management systems in  healthcare to nursing students.

Professor Andrzej Kowalski and dr Ugul Baloglu met with students of journalism and social communication as well as English philology. Professor Kowalski, of Polish origin, works at the Instituto Politecnico de Leiria in the field of Media. He told students, among others, about a special media project for the inhabitants of the small West African country of Guinea-Bissau. Dr Ugur Baloglu from Istanbul Gelisim University outlined the specifics of the journalist's work and the relationship between the media world and politics in Turkey.

On 15.10.2019 KPSW also hosted representatives of the DLR School-Lab at the Technical University of Dresden, Dr. Janina Hahn and Mrs. Aleksandra Gadowska. They were welcomed by the Vice-Rector of KPSW, dr Tadeusz Lewandowski, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medical and Technical Sciences, dr Wioletta Palczewska. In the presentation of the DLR School Lab a special guest took part, the v-ce director of the Electronic Secondary School in Jelenia Góra, mgr Andrzej Wojciechowski. The DLR School Lab in Dresden offers interesting workshops in technical and natural sciences for students of primary school, middle and lower years of study, and our students can do internships at this institution under the Erasmus + Program. Since 2015 KPSW and DLR School Lab cooperate on the organization of the so-called  Summer Labs for young people from Germany, Poland and Czech Republic.

In October 2019, KPSW employees also traveled abroad for training and teaching purposes. From October 7 to 11, Marek Szyc and Marcin Michalak conducted a training mobility to Mustafa Kemal University in Turkey. In the period of 14 to 18.10, dr Anna Mickiewicz hosted lectures at Dauvgapils University in Latvia, and between the 21 and 25 October 2019 Kamila Biniek, Magdalena Baczyńska and dr Beata Telążka carried out a teaching visit at the Pedagogical University of Vinnytsia in Ukraine.
